Term 2 goals

Maths I want to concur Multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimal numbers by whole numbers. Sport I want to play Hockey for the whole season. Science I would like to find an interesting question that I can find the answer to before the end of term two. Fishing I want to go out fishing at least 5 times Fitness I want to improve my beep test result

What makes good direction

Yesterday we learned about good directions. We did a little course and we were blind folded and only had our buddy's directions to go by. We were given a couple of cones and a skipping rope to make a short course. We all successfully completed the course without tripping. We are looking at procedural writing this term so that is why we did that short course to see if we could give good directions.

What you will need:

1 straight straw

1 A4 piece of paper

Scissors

Tape

Steps:

Cut two bits of A4 Paper so they look like this:

 

Tape them in a circle so they look like this. Make sure your circles are in line. Good luck and have fun.

 

 

Science

For the past week our class has been doing quite a lot of science. We are learning about bubbles in a bottle.
What is bubbles in a bottle? Well bubbles in a bottle are very similar to a lava lamp. It's just basically a homemade lava lamp.
Equipment:
One clean container preferably 1 liter or less.
Enough water to roughly fill your container to 1 quarter.
Vegetable oil to fill the rest of the way.
Fizzing tablets.
A few drips of food coloring.
Method:
Pour the water in to your container.
Pour in the oil.
Add a few drops of food coloring.
Break fizzing tablets and drop in.
Hypothesis:
I think the water will dissolve the fizzing tablet and will begin to fizz.
Result:
